Nauset Beach South
Effective immediately: Nauset Beach South is closed due to the presence of unfledged plover chicks in the trail. There is only so much predictability when forecasting their movements at this young age. Early this morning, staff found a brood of 4 chicks that had traveled over a 1/4 mile and relocated to new habitat thus mandating this closure.
Nauset North (Residents)
Nauset North remains closed due to the lack of drivable beach. We remain hopeful that as the summer beach builds and the high tides of June back off, that some level of access will be on the table for this summer. Once again, we understand how important the Northside is the Town. We monitor it every day and will do everything we can to find a solution.
