Join the Orleans Recreation Department for one or more of the offered programs to stimulate your summer recreation sweet tooth. All classes and programs are free. This event is the recreation departments kickoff To the summer season/ Join us and have fun!!!
Basketball Skills Workshop - 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Grades 3-8 at the Middle school gym join the rec coaching staff for drills, games and lots of fun!!
Soccer Clinic - 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Grades K - 6 join us at the NRMS Football Field for our soccer clinic and small sided games/ Parents vs Kids game included.
Boys Lacrosse Workshop - 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Grades 5 - 8 join us at the OES field and come learn the game, refine your skills, and learn the game strategy. Players need to bring their own gear.
Orleans Girls Softball Game vs. Dennis Recreation - 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Grades 4 - 6 at the OES field. Bring a lawn chair, sit on the grass and relax with your coffee and watch the kids play.
Adult Fitness and Skill Training
- Pickleball workshop 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the OES gym
- Burdenko Fitness Training 11:30 am - 12:15 pm in the OES gym (hardest workout on the planet)
- Yoga 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm in the OES gym - Enjoy a class with instructor Anne. Don’t miss this class!!
Other Activities to Enjoy
Corn Hole - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Enjoy a game or two of Corn Hole. Boards will be set up on the ball field at Eldredge Park. Arrive alone or with your friends. Great family backyard game for the summer cookouts and picnics or even while at the beach.
Obstacle Course - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
This course is designed for the young orienteering person. Challenge yourself in strength, speed, agility and determination. The course will be set up on the ball field at OES, look for it down by the outdoor basketball courts.
Learn About Biking Hand Signals - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Orleans Bike and safety Committee will be providing a game to teach kids about hand signals to use while biking. They will also be providing other bike safety information. Please stop by their table, located at the bus port at OES. A bike is not necessary to participate.
