Orleans Senior Center Caregiver Support Groups



Dementia Caregiving Support Group: 
1st Thursday of each month from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

This group will help families develop better coping strategies, learn more about dementia, and help
connect to support services in the community.  This group is for adult children caring for aging parents, spouses, or anyone caring for a loved one with dementia. 
Group Facilitator:  Dr. Molly Perdue, MA, MS, PhD, Director of Alzheimer's Family Support Center. 
Please pre-register by calling the COA at 508-255-6333.  Care for your loved one is available during the group with prior arrangements. Please let us know when you register.

Male Caregivers Support Group:
1st and 3rd Fridays from 10:00 am - 11:30 am

This informal group will deal with the unique needs and issues of male caregivers, provide information on resources, and address topics of iinterest to participants. Guidance, education and
support is provided in a friendly and confidential environment. 
Facilitated by:  Frank Riley from Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands.

LGBT Bereavement Support Group
New 6 week session begins May 16, 2017 at the Orleans Senior Center Tuesdays 5:00 - 6:30 pm

This is a free six week group providing a welcoming environment for those who are Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgender to talk about your loss and learn strategies for healing.
