Basic Charge

Excess Charges per 6 Month Billing Period
0 to 15,000 gallons $1.68 per thousand gallon
15,001 to 30,000 gallons $4.14 per thousand gallons
30,001 to 50,000 gallons $5.32 per thousand gallons
over 50,000 gallons $6.44 per thousand gallons
Bills are due and payable when rendered.
Unpaid water bills over 30 days will be assessed a $10 demand fee
& accrue interest at the rate of 14% per annum compounded daily.
Spring 2012 Semi-Annual Water Main Flushing
The semi-annual flushing of the water system will begin on April 17, 2012 in the Town of Orleans. All flushing will be done during the day between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Residents in these areas should try not to use water during these hours. If residents notice water discoloration, the water should be run for a few minutes before being used. The flushing schedule is subject to change depending on the daily progress of the program. Responsibilities:
The water department maintains the municipal water supply so that there is a sufficient quantity of water to meet the needs of all of its customers, including the fire department, even on the most demanding day in the middle of summer.
