BEACH PATROL OFFICER
POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Orleans Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Beach Patrol Officer. Primary responsibility of Beach Patrol Officers is to assist the Orleans Parks and Beaches Department with daily tasks. Typical duties include traffic control, A.T.V. patrols, responding to emergencies on the beach, and parking enforcement. Applicants must be at least 19 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license, and possess a valid C.P.R. and First Responder certification prior to employment. Applicants are encouraged to have completed the M.P.T.C. Basic Reserve Intermittent Academy prior to employment. The Town of Orleans is an equal opportunity employer. SUMMER SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER
POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Orleans Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Summer Special Police Officer. Summer Special Officers primary responsibility is supplementing the full time officers in daily responsibilities.~ Summer Officers are responsible for parking enforcement, traffic duties, crowd control and security, assistance with arrest processing, and minor criminal and accident investigations.~ Typical assignments include bicycle patrol, walking beats, traffic posts, and limited cruiser work.~ Applicants must have graduated high school and must have completed the M.P.T.C.
