The Gift House is not a place to bring potentially hazardous, unsanitary, unsafe, rusty or inoperable things. Large items may be disallowed due to space constraints. Any items that are deemed unacceptable by volunteers must be disposed of properly and not left on site. Please do not drop off items when the Gift House is closed.
- Hazardous materials – gasoline, oil, pesticides, cleaning products
- Paints, solvents or other flammable liquids
- Thermostats or thermometers containing mercury
- Safety-recalled items, including drop-sided cribs
- Cathode ray tube televisions and monitors regardless of size
- Broken appliances of any kind
- Tires
- Mattresses of any kind
- Bedding and towels of any kind
- Large upholstered furniture
- Large appliances or white goods – refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers
- Large air conditioners and large microwaves which can’t be carried easily
- Dehumidifiers and humidifiers
- Bathtubs
- Medicine
- Medical equipment other than walkers
- Toilets
- Clothing
- Windows
